Amber Brass quintet was founded in 2016. Entusiastic group of young players who wanted to follow their dream to play in a brass quintet decided to do it together. Each of member came from different cities of Lithuania and have very different and special backgrounds, therefore working together and sharing ideas is even more exciting.
Amber Brass has performed in festivals: “Sbalz2018” (Alzira, Spain), where played together with world famous trumpet player, Grammy nominee Jens Lindemann, quintet has also participated in Lithuanian festivals such as “Trakai Fanfare Week” (where solo with quintet was played by Detmold Academie’s of Music trumpet professor Klaus Jürgen Bräker and his assistant, pianist Dovilė Bagdonaitė), and ‚Dūdų Vasara‘, held concerts in Church of St. Ignatius (Vilnius), The ramparts of the Lithuanian Army‘s Vilnius crew (Vilnius), Trakai Art School (Trakai), Zarasai Culture Center, Varėna Culture Center. They collaborates with „Spanish Brass“ and the most famous Lithuanian quintets such as „Sostinės Vario Kvintetas“, „Brass Spalvos“, „Merrily Brass“. Amber Brass maintains and expands various traditions of playing in a brass quintet such as: performing diverse pieces or arragements, playing sacral music in churches, performing hymns in streets on Christmas celebrations, introducing kids with brass instruments and many others.
