Jonas Silinskas is a Lithuanian born trumpet player and teacher.
After moving to Finland in 2009, to study under Aki Valimaki, he has worked in multiple symphony orchestras including Tampere Philharmonic, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Turku Philharmonic and Kuopio Symphony Orchestra. J. Silinskas also performed internationally in Korea, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Holland, Poland, Italy, Russia and the Baltic states.
Silinskas now holds a solo trumpet position in Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and teaches in Tampere Music Academy. As well as teaching Finnish students, Jonas has given masterclasses in other countries such as Italy and South Korea.
In addition to orchestral music playing and solo appearances in various Finnish orchestras, Jonas enjoys playing jazz, funk, soul and other kinds of music.
