The Budapest Festival Horn Quartet was founded in 1993. In 1995 the Quartet was awarded 2nd prize in the 4th International Brass Competition of Passau ( Germany ).
Besides a number of other festivals, Budapest Festival Horn Quartet has already participated in these events.

Their first CD „Cornologia” was released in 1996 by Hungaroton Classic. Their second CD „Cornologia 2(000) was released in 2000 by Hungaroton Classic too. Both of the albums were favourable reviewed in Europe and overseas.
Miklós Nagy is solo horn of the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. László Rákos,László Gál and Tibor Maruzsa are members of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra. Their repertoire fully embraces the pieces composed for horn quartet and includes numerous arrangements of compositions ranging from Baroque to contemporary music.
